  1. I went back and did a little playing with the numbers the dealer gave me and it started out as 3FADP0L where dealer wrote Oh instead of zero. Changed it and all is well.
  2. True. I have been taking my Moms 97 Deville out and about this summer because she is getting up there in years and drives so few days that the battery discharges because it may be months between drives. Anyway her car has never had a recharge of the air conditioner and after about 20 or 30 miles it started blowing cold air. So unless something is wrong with a part of the air conditioner or there is a leak there shouldn't be a problem. They don't lose freon for no reason.
  3. Ok, our Hybrid has been built and is in the hands of the shipper. So when does our Window Sticker become available online?
  4. We ordered our FFH Black on Black with 502a on Aug. 27th and I just got off the phone with Ford for an update and the lady told me it has been built and left the plant and the shipper has it. Not quite 4 weeks on a Fusion Hybrid is a shock. I would have thought after the Cash for Clunkers it would have taken a lot longer than this. Supposed to be at the dealers by Oct. 12th.
  5. I don't know what the hell you are even talking about. For all I care you can by a Prius or a Vette. NOT ONCE DID I EVER SAY ANYTHING ABOUT YOUR CAR WHAT CAR TO BUY OR WHATEVER. All I commented on is your rude behavior. So go back and reread the posts and bitch at the other guy who made the comments, and try acting like a man for a change.
  6. Here is your FIRST post: This is my first post but i thought i was signing up for a big boy forum, not to be a D!CK but seems like this is very amature. I was clocked doing 130 next to my daddys vette? I had a 5.0 and i am about to buy a new ford fusion, god bless my soul if i had to race a 5.0 mustang against my new fusion sport, no contest. throw gears on a 5.0 and it would take the fusion by BUS LENGTHS! Now here was my post: You really know how to make friends here. Maybe you should go back to the big boy forums and leave us people with brains and common sense alone. No where did I say a Fusion was faster than a Stang. All I said was you came here with a cocky attitude basically called us whatevers and for me your post was like a slap in the face. Personally I could care if you ever read any of my posts or others but you need to learn how to make friends and influence people plus get your posts/slams correct. Now let us start over.
  7. Main reason I stopped doing my own maintenance is it is getting harder and harder to find a place to dump the used oil plus I watch for coupons as my dealer will match most honest coupons and that puts on record that all work has been done by Ford so no arguement if a problem ever crops up.

  9. Yes, please do as before I ordered my FFH with Nav I complained about the wife's STS with Nav not having a display of places to eat with how far to each place. All it had was the icons on the display and you had to touch each one to see just what it was. So that was the first thing I checked when we test drove a Nav Hybrid. Ford in my humble opinion has done an excellent job on their nav unit.
  10. Most consoles only have a couple screws at the back maybe a couple up front if they don't slide into a bracket so I'd think loosening the rear you could tilt it up enough to do some looking. Maybe you could stop at your Ford dealer and ask them. One of the mechanics may be able to give you an answer.
  11. My 2002 Chevy Avalanche had a locking glovebox with its own key. If I remember right they called it a Valet key so when you left your vehicle you could lock up the glovebox and take that key with you.
  12. Boy will that be a big change. From riding up in the air to the feel of riding on the ground. It took me a while to get used to driving a car after my SUV.
  13. I guess if I was buying a used car that I would make sure it came with 2 keys and remotes if it was orginally equiped that way. At the very least at least 2 keys.
  14. I ordered FFH on Aug. 27th. I have a Vin # and have been checking the site that prints out my Window Sticker but it isn't there yet. For those out there in the know when will this show up. According to FCC they say my car should be at dealers between 10/9 and 10/18. Dealer showed my his printout saying 10/12. So when will window sticker be online?
  15. I wonder if it is on the regular Fusion and if not than I bet it has something to do with keeping the humidity low on either the elec. motor or the battery pack or both. I just downloaded the reg. Fusion manual and there is NO HUMIDITY sensor at any fuse location and fuse 37 is empty so it has to be something to do with the Hybrid part of the car and not the Air conditioner.

  17. Suposedly it id due at dealers around 10/12 but thats a big S as it hasn't even been built yet.
  18. I think the bottom line is the dealer didn't do their job of getting it ready. I will pay close attention to that area when/if we get ours next month as told.
  19. I agreee, we have a FFH on order and I'd hate to even think what a new speedo display would cost for that car. I remember the first couple years Prius were out a few members had to have theirs replaced, most after warranty ran out and it was well over 1K and I want to think closer to 2K.
  20. Welcome to the group and I hope you really enjoy your ride. I can't wait to get the wifes FFH. I have already explained to her that I need to drive it for a few days to get everything setup for us. If I waited on her I'd be lucky if the radio was programed by spring.
  21. Safest thing is to stop by the service department and let them clean it.
  22. So it is 110 out which seems about right where you live so the inside is at least that even with the roof open. Wouldn't it be nice to get out of that office building and jump into that same 75 degrees without ruining your clothes from all the sweat. 45 sec. is kind of fast to cool down the car, maybe 10 min. if you're lucky.
  23. Thats kind of what I thought. I live in MI. and we get lots of 90's and we have it in both of our GM cars and it is great in Summer and Winter. When the inside is 120 and I get in it after about 15 min. it sure does feel good with the air pumping out cold. Of course maybe to much of the Tx heat this summer has effected his thinking. :hysterical2:
  24. Thanks will wait for your reply. I just don't understand why it isn't standard on the car like on most GM cars. Here is a case on the hybrid where they give you a power passenger seat which for most of us will hardly ever be used. The money they spent on that could have went to a remote start.
