  1. We were recently rear ended o our 2010 FFH. Took the car to a well reputed body shop, & after 2 wks, all repairs to rear bumper, trunk, & rear side panel done. Picked up the car, drove away and noticed the speedometer at Zero while driving! Went right back to the body shop, they ran Ford diagnostics, couldn't find the problem. They said they just reset everything, and it now works, but they said since they didn't know what caused it, it may happen Again. They assured me it had nothing to do with being rear ended or subsequent repairs. Anyone else have speedometer issues on their FFH? BTW, it still works fine after 4 days.... Thanks for your input, always appreciate it.
  2. Thank you Moderator; I figured it out (!) I just sent a PM through the forum. I appreciate your help....
  3. Crystal: There is no PM option on your facebook page.
  4. Thank you Crystal; Are you with Ford Service? How do I PM you?
  5. Thanks Lolder; I would tend to agree with you. I did not have this noise prior to they changing my brakes. So What in the brake job would cause it to make a 'slushing' noise coming from the front of the car? What error on their part would cause this noise? I am supposed to take it back to them (AGAIN!) this Friday, so they can Listen for the sound (I would have hoped they had listened for it the last time I took it in yesterday with the complaint!) I am really disenchanted with this service dept. As kind, polite & professional as they are, i am not sure they know what they are doing. But they are the closest service station to me; I am stuck with them. Again, thanks for your input; please respond if you have any other ideas or suggestions. I wish Ford was reading this, and had a suggestion.........
  6. Thanks Dan; I will definitely fill up the tank, as it is time to fill up the tank anyway; but the question still remains, why would the 1/4 tank gas make a sound NOW after I've had the car for 5+ years, and it has ran on 1/4 tank before with no noise . . . . Plus, the sound is coming from the front, not the back where the gas tank is. But I really appreciate your input; I will definitely be filling up tonight !
  7. The gas tank is about a 1/4 full, it is coming from the front, as if under the hood; and it has Never made that noise in the last 60,000 miles......
  8. UPDATE : I just got the car back from the dealer, they said they flushed the coolant, blah blah blah, and promised it is quiet now . . .; well I drove off, and as soon as I came to the first stop light, and applied the breaks, the "slushing around" sound is still there ! I called them back right away, they want me to bring the car back, but right now I am too angry to go back there again .... WHAT could it possibly be ? I took the car in for my regularly scheduled 60,000 mile service & I end up with a NEW problem ??? That's not right. Anyone have any other ideas, I would appreciate your input.... Thanks.
  9. Hi everyone: Crystal, to answer your question, only Ford authorized service station has ever serviced my car. So I had to Go back to the dealer service station today, again; I suggested that perhaps when the changed the coolant, they didn't bleed all the air out properly or it isn't filled properly.....so they are doing that now. I just can't believe that I had to suggest that to them, and that I had to go back to them after having just picked up my car having full service done, and the inconvenience I had to put up with. Thank you all for your input, I do value your input, advice; and appreciate it. Any more updates.... I will definitely post. And please feel free to post additional comments. We can all learn from each other.
  10. Hi everyone; My 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid has been making what sounds like a 'slushing' noise, (as if there was a tub of fluid under the hood & it was moving around?) coming from the engine area (?) & this happens when I am applying the breaks. As it happens, and to give you a bit of a background, my car wouldn't start last week, & the anti-theft protection light was blinking rapidly. I called a tow truck, he tried jumping the car (the 12 v battery, not the hybrid battery) & when that didn't work, I had it towed to the service station; and after attempting the spare key & the car running right away, it was determined that it was just my ignition key itself; so paid $250 to replace the key, and the car turned on just fine. While the car was at the service station, I asked them to replace the breaks, & do the 60,000 mile service. Now, my issue is, since picking up the car from the service station, there is this weird noise & I don't know if it could be a symptom of something else. The car runs just fine now, but I don't know what that noise is! If anyone could shed some light on this (before I have to take it back to the service station again!) I would certainly appreciate it.
  11. Hi: I have a 2010 Fusion Hybrid, and the heater blower stopped working 2 days ago, where I have no heat, and we have cold weather here! I experienced the same issue with the blower not working just last August during a summer heat wave where the A/C was not blowing! They seemed to fix that without a problem. Today the dealership service Dept told me it is the Fan Resistor which shorted & is not working & must be replaced. Also, a Harness part has to be spliced into it ??? (whatever that means) Long & short of it is parts plus labor probably looking at about $450-500 ! Merry Christmas ! (Just what I needed this time of year) I thought I'd share my experience in case it can be of help to anyone else; or if anyone else has any input, I would definitely appreciate it.
  12. Hi, I have an Update: took my 2010 FFH in to dealer for check on THE wrench light. They said it just needs an update on the program,as was said by others earlier. The dealer didn't charge me anything, it was FREE! Thank you all for your help & input. Really appreciate it.
  13. Does anyone know what the actual cost should be to fix the wrench light / P0A7C code/ to reprogram the PCM with the latest calibration according to TSB 11-7-31 ?
  14. I was able to open your link, very helpful; thank you very much for posting it. May I ask how you got this info? Is it on the Ford website ? In any case, I took my car in this morning for regular service & told them about the wrench light; waiting to hear what they say. Do you think it would be easy to diagnose even if the wrench light is no longer on ?
  15. Honestly, I think the dealers don't know what the wrench means either. I've had the light come on since last summer (only comes on in extreme hot weather, with A/C running; & resets with ignition cycle) and Haivng no other driving difficulty, and based on others' comments; I tend to think it is not a serious issue.... I hope I am correct. I do have an appointment next week for a check up with the dealer. Will post updates if any. Neldam
