Hi Everyone.. (sorry in advanced for the long post) I have been a lurker since i first started shopping for my new (used) 2008 Fusion SEL back in March.. I finally bought the car in mid-late april from a dealer.. About a month ago i was in a car accident.. I had full coverage..My insurance covered all the repairs and everything.. At first, i was suprised they didnt total it.. i recently found out after i got it back, that they wanted to total it but the shop i brought it to thought it wasnt too bad (which it was) so they qouted the insurance co $7500 to fix.. so they did..and i am sure they went over that and ate a bit of the cost as well.. Anyhow, I got my car back exactly one week ago.. Looks amazing...Really hard to believe that it got fixed so nicely... So i left the collison shop and got about 8 miles away and the RPM's shot up to above 3000 and at about 45mph... and wasnt coming down.. i think it might have been stuck in 3rd gear maybe??? So right after that, my Throttle Control/Service Engine soon light came on.. I pulled over put it in park and shut the car off.. turned it back on and only the engine light soon was on.. I brought it back to the shop and they scanned it and said something about recalibrating something on it.. they worked on it for about a half hour.. ... so all done.. It has been driving just fine for exactly a week now.. went about 230 miles....although in idle mode i hear a slight rattle noice i didnt hear before prior to the accident.. but seems to drive ok... So about 2hrs ago. I leave to go out, and the same EXACT thing that happened after i left the shop last week happened again...Same speed and scenerio...I pulled over.. turned the car off.. turned it back on.. and only the service engine light soon was on..So i quickly turned around and drove back home , which it seemed to drive normal.. I came here on this forum to look at other peoples issues similar to mine.. saw some mentions of clearing that service engine soon light by putting the key in on position for a min.. getting it warm, putting AC on w/ park break.. and driving it.. After i did that, the service englne soon light cleared... Anyone have an idea what this issue could be.. This wasnt happening prior to the accident.. i had driven the car about 800 miles when the accident happened.. (front end damage)...i just want to make sure i am driving a safe car as i will be driving my young nephew and neices around from time to time.. Not sure what to do at this point. i guess i can call my insurance company and let them know i am gonna take it back to that shop.. or should i have a place that specializes in transmissions or Ford's look at it? I really like the car but i dont wanna keep it if its gonna be a problem.. i may see about having the insurance company let me swap it out for something else, if thats even an option.. Thanks in advance for reading and for any replies i get.. Don..

My FFH at ~63,000 miles has the "Service Engine Soon" warning light displayed. At first it was intermittent, now it is on all the time. I have no driving issues, I'm getting my normal 40-43 mpg. When I have the codes checked at my local Advanced Auto store (free), they pull a P0130 code, and their OBDII readout says Oxy Sensor, Bank 1, circuit 1. Advanced shows that part costs $273 (I think it is electrically heated). Rockauto.com shows Oxygen sensors from $25 to $174 for the FFH, that suggest they are for the front bank, but some have oval and some have round connectors. If there is anyone with FFH oxygen sensor knowledge here, please advise. I have had no other issues with the vehicle, and still don't for performance and driveability. Are emission items covered on any warranty other than the 3/36? I didn't get an extended warranty, and I'm not sorry about that yet.
