topanga
So, figured I would introduce myself now that I have made the "purchase". I have been car shopping for over 6 months- my 2003 Caravan had 213000 clicks so I decided to look again at my first choice- the Ford Fusion... For me I was looking for a good car at a decent price that will help me shake the 'soccer mom' image but still allow for 3 carseats haha. I love the Sync feature and fell in love with the 2010 body style right away. I wish I could have justified the hybrid because that's what I really wanted but this was already at the top of my price range and I do so much highway driving it just didn't make sense. Next car for sure! I have X-plan through my work and the current promo was $1000 off from Costco and a free winter tire/rims set (which is great for our brutal Canadian winters) plus 0% financing... I was so torn between sport blue and black but in the end Sport Blue would have had to be a factory order so I went with the tuxedo black.. I got the Base SEL with the 4cy engine.. taxes freight and delivery it came to 27500 Canadian which was just $250 over the "sticker price" and I have a full set of winter tires and rims so I am happy I should know when it will be in (they did a vehicle locate) on Monday. So I want to do a little something to make my fusion look a bit different.. nothing too crazy but my older brother has a '96 black v6 SEL fusion so I was thinking some pink accents to set mine apart a bit more. hm....

Pink accents are fine if you are going to drive it till it drops but you will have a VERY hard times selling it used with the pink on it. Just a thought.
Grey
Add the pink where you can easily remove it - license plate frame, window decal, etc. Good luck :happy feet:
topanga
Thanks yeah I was thinking about getting a few cute pink stars for on the back window.. and then maybe some custom pink and black seat covers to keep the upholstry fresh for when I don't have little kids in the car... I need to get the windows tinted and I want to get the laminex covers to smoke the tail and headlights too. Ah much to do...
EmptyFriend
my older brother has a '96 black v6 SEL fusion i don't think he does.... but you probably meant '06. either way, you should be able to tell them apart pretty easily by the grille and the tail lights, but there's nothing stopping you from accessorizing. let us know how the seat covers work out, i've got a baby on the way and was trying to come up with a somewhat elegant solution to protect those back seats.
topanga
oi quite right he doesn't have a 96 fusion... it is indeed an 06.. good ol typos So I am starting to get cold feet... I am going to the bank tomorrow to finish the financing and I am actually thinking of backing out. I have three kids 5 and under, was this a crazy vehicle to buy?!?!
