Ordered my new car today!

Was planning on getting a 2010 Fusion SEL for my new Company Car and today I finally received the order info to log on and place my order. I was all set to get an SEL-V6 with Moon & Tune and a few other goodies.

Upon going through the process, the first thing I found out that since this is a "fleet lease vehicle" that Leather Seats are not standard and the cost was another $1000 (rounded) to add Leather. Then the bad news! There was no option to order the "appearance package" and not even the Moon & Tune that I really wanted.

I then looked at the Milan Premier V6 and that had the leather seats as standard. So far so good! On this car I was able to also order Moon & Tune so thats what I got. (I gave a bad review of the Milan earlier on another forum mainly because of the tail light seams but I have decided just to live with that.)

I ordered:

2010 Milan Premier 200A (base)

3.0 V6

Tuxedo Black exterior

Medium Light Stone Leather interior (two tone)

Moon & Tune pkg.

Reverse Sensing System

Remote Start

I like the wheels on the Milan Premier allot and this is a loaded car to include heated seats, heated mirrors, power seats (both), Foglights, Sync and all the goodies.

Anyone care to guess what the lead time will be for delivery? Our website said there is an unknown delay due to te 3.0 V6 motor? I heard something like 10-12 weeks.

I think the Fusion styling is way better than the Milan but it certainly seems to fit the bill here for your needs. It's not that the Milan is bad looking, just not as good. I am really a big fan of the Fusion grille though so that helps.

I have to say though that the seats in the Milan in the light stone finish look great with the two tone look. Is it me or are they slightly different than the Fusion seats in shape?

I liked the 3-bar grill on the Fusion but the Milan front end has really grown on me as a nice classy look. It's a dressy car and about the only thing I dont like are the shape of the tail lights and the fact that those tail light and trunk seams don't align very well. The tail lights are however LEDs for 2010 so that is nice too.

As for the seats, This is the same exact interior albeit with a dressier appearance. The seats are essentially the same in overall size and shape and it's just the panels inside the seat that are shaped differently. As for feel, I myself felt no difference between the Fusion or Milan leather seats. These two toned "Medium Light Stone" seats are only available on the higher end Milan Premier or the Hybrid model. I loved these seats when I first test drove a Milan Premier months ago and wanted them right from the get go. They add so much to the car in my opinion. Normally I dislike two toned interiors but this one just works and works nicely at that.

This is a Hybrid w/ Hybrid specific wheels. My wheels are shown above in the first post.

I won't have a spoiler on my Milan though and didn't want one. The integral lights in the spoiler look cheap in my opinion. (On the Milan, no so on the Fusion.)

I see what you mean by the taillights, that is a bit weird. Grille looks OK IMO, I think I struggle with the headlights and foglights. We don't have them up here in Canada so maybe my opinion would change if I ended up actually seeing one in the flesh.

Those seats definitely make the interior pop, I like my light stone interior but I really wish Ford had put the two tone seats in the Fusion as well.
