Good luck with it.
crooster
The dealer is having trouble locating the exact car I want. Fingers crossed. Does anyone have the Moons and Tunes package? What do you think of the sound system? Is it worth the $$$? I didn't get a chance to hear it.

crooster
Ok - my car has been located and I pick it up on Saturday. I'm anxious to hear how good the optional Sony 12 speaker system is. I never checked it out at the dealership.
fusionff
Congrats, it took about a week for the dealer to locate the car with my options. Good luck with it and post up a pic. Welcome aboard.

I never checked it out at the dealership. Yes, the Sony system sounds good. It won't blow you out of the car though! The best car audio I've had was a Kenwood system that I put in a '79 Camaro. Back when I still had hair. I spent a cool grand on that system, in the early 80's ! I think you'll like the Sony. Though, it won't make your ears bleed.
acdii
The Sony needs some tweaking to get it just right, You need to crank the speed thing up to max for the best sound, but even with that, you wont be thumpin at a light, but it does give you a decent chest thump while going down the highway. Keep in mind, this setup does not have a subwoofer, it uses several of the speakers as bass drivers, while the others do the mids and highs. Certain music sounds just awesome, while some just sound plain bleh. The Moon and Tune includes a few other items besides the stereo and sunroof, I think it includes the interior lighting too. Enjoy the new ride.

acdii
Oh, Right, the packages change between models. The Sport model included other items. I think there was also an electronics package that included heated seats, and power passenger seat.
fastfords4me
I didn't know it was rated at 390 watts. That sounds a little optimistic to my ears. Wish they had the shaker 1000 option. Now that probably rocks! Guess I should be trying to set an example for responsible listening levels for my 13 year old. But the old man still has a little kid in him! Enjoy the new wheels.
Rodeo
In my opinion, the Sony 12 speaker 390 watt system is barely adequate and its nothing special. Yea, I ordered it because it still has to be better then the stock 6 speaker system but afterlistening to it in several test cars, I was not overly impressed. it will not blow you away. The "bass" does seem to be weak. It's "livable" for someone like me for a car but I wouldn't live with it's level of performance if I were shopping a home system. It's just OK is all.
