jumpman
Thought I'd say 'hello'. Checked out the site a bit before joining - so I appreciate some of the info that I was able to gather prior to making my purchase. That being said. I grabbed a new 2010 Fusion 3.0 V-6 on Saturday. Tuxedo Black, 18" 'sport' wheels, Moonroof, Sync, Navi, Leather & Monochrome pakage. Rolled about 250 miles so far & I gotta say I am pretty pleased with my purchase at the moment. It's already off at the tint shop getting the windows blacked-out. A few first impressions: 3.0 V-6 seems to be a nice performing motor - and appears to hang halfway near the V-6 Chevy Malibu (which I was also considering). 'Fit and Finish' inside and out seems to be quite a bit superior to past Fords I have owned. Navigation/Sony/Sync is impressive. Monochrome paint option sets it off from the many other fusions I see on the road. First car with intigrated Bluetooth...I am all sorts of liking it. Backup Cam scores coolness points. --- Also --- Wish there were a cover on the motor. Seems like every other car has one...would be a cheap way to dress-up the engine compartment. I would have liked to have a garage door opener on the visor. Navigation/Sony/Sync is cumbersome to learn/use. Not so much the Navi & Climate controls...but the Sync seems like a typical Microsoft hassle. Cannot beleive there is not a remote start feature intigrated into the system. Thats about it for now. I'm sure I will think of more stuff & have questions. Thanks, Jumpman
DJE
Hey Jump! Glad you're here. I think the 3.0 goes pretty good! Thanks for the impressions.
ImBroke
Welcome. I agree, Sync is a pain, I don't use it. For bluetooth, I don't have that capability on my phone, so I can't even relate.
MrC2003
Congrats on the purchase. I've got an SE and am very pleased with it thus far. I totally agree with the integration of the remote start. I have the factory remote start and hate the second key fob. It's ugly and why is it necessary to have an additional thing hanging on my key ring when most other manufacturers have figured out a nice way to integrate it into the main fob. As far as the SYNC system goes, I don't understand why people have such a problem with it. I find it pretty simple to work after having spent about 5 minutes with the owners manual...which should be done anyway, there's a lot of good information in there...I have picked up enough of it to use my phone and Zune. I have heard quite a few complaints about something that isn't that hard at all. Also, be sure to check out www.syncmyride.com and get your free subscription to traffic, weather and directions. I really like the directions feature especially since I don't have factory nav. Anywho, that's my .02. Enjoy the new fusion!

deo1929
Welcome to the forum. And I also recommend spending an evening with the owners/sync manual. Also be sure to register on syncmyride.com. You get all types of help and software updates! You also can set up the "traffic and directions" on sync. That's a nice feature every sync owner gets for 3 YEARS FREE. Enjoy your new ride.

deo1929
Not quite---6 months free if you have Nav. Interesting. When I registered on syncmyride.com, I got 3 years free. But that's voice "turn by turn" directions. It must be a different package than with the Nav system. Either way, it's still pretty cool and way cheaper than OnStar!
