This appears because the recommended 7500 mile recommended oil change is approaching. I changed oil at 5000 and will again at 10000. My question is: must I hit the "Reset" each time I start the car to temporarily eliminate this message from now until August (when I estimate the 10K reading)or is it possible to disable this message appearing at all. Thank you for your indulgence. If you had read the owner's manual you'd know that you have to go into the message center and reset the oil life after it's changed. The directions include how to change it to less than 100% if you want to do changes sooner than 7500 miles (e.g. if you want 5000 mile changes set it to 67%). 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You go into system check this will show your oil life percentage push and hold the restet button and you will watch it change to 100 if you continue to hold restet after this it will start to drop it by 10 percent so 90,80 and so on hope this helps out and as stated above it will be in the owners manual just thought this may be easier than searchin through that 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Oops, I forgot, there are still people without a computer. Perhaps the government can take more of my money and buy everyone a new computer.
