BillCronan
Had a 2006 Honda Civic. I miss the 40 mpg, since I drive about 75k a year. Also miss the sliding arm rest, I seem to have shorter arms and need to be a bit closer to the steering wheel and like the arm rest to move along with the seat. That's about it. The Fusion has been a great car so far. Still on the original brakes, tires have been lasting about 90k and the ride is much better than the Civic was. Have 151k miles on it so far and hope it can last until it is paid for in two years. If it holds out, Ford will continue to be my car supplier. This was my first non Honda product in 20 years and I am satisfied up to this point. Dealership has also been good, Ford Country of Henderson :-)
Not_a_Pony
I traded in my premium 03 Mustang GT with less than 65K miles on it for an 2012 Tuxedo Black Fusion Sport with FWD. It was difficult to part with but I was ready. I have been looking for another stang ever since I traded it on. This is my first four door vehicle. So far, so good!
indifferent
Went from a 99 alero coupe. Bought that bad boy in 03 after my 88 beretta finally died. Bought my fusion may 11. Only thing i will miss is the coupe aspect. This is the first sedan i have ever owned. What i won't miss is they thing ate wheel bearing hubs the rear defroster stopped working about 4 years before i got rid of it and the electrical was really going to hell in it.
Rodrigo
2008 Escape V6 with 67,000 kms. I miss the ride height and cargo capacity. What I don't miss are drum brakes, body roll, uncomfortable cloth seats, reflector headlights. Oh, and also that annoying clunk between 1st and 2nd gear, especially when cold... this was due to tranny coolant leak that prompted a recall for 08 Escapes.

knoxco
The Fusion replaced another Ford; '96 Exploder with ~130k miles on it that has some major clutch cylinder issues (can't start it unless it's in gear).

jeff711981
I totaled my 2009 Jetta - hit a deer at 70 mph. For the past 8 or 10 years I've been driving foreign cars. Every time I get a new car I want to get one from the big three, but none of the dealerships around here would negotiate as much as the foreign car companies. When budgets are tight, I can't afford to spend a few grand more on a car just because it's made by a domestically owned company, so I ended up with a Mitsubishi, a couple Nissans and the Jetta. After totaling my Jetta a couple weeks ago, I've been looking at Focuses and Fusions and found a black Fusion that I fell in love with and the price was fair. So I got it and I'm very happy I did. I wish the 1.6L Ecoboost got better fuel economy, but either way, I'm happy with it. Edited March 18, 2014 by jeff711981
pcabe5
Traded a 2011 Ford Focus for the 2012 Fusion SEL. anthony6114
I went from a 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 (4.7L)What I miss: Roomy cab, extra seats, having a loud exhaust ( I loved being obnoxious with my exhaust) being high up, and being able to go off-road. What I don't miss: Over $100 fill ups, not fitting in my driveway with all the cars my family has. What I won't be able to live w/out in the future: Being high up, loud, and ruling the streets! I switched to my 2011 Fusion SE 2.5L in September of 2012. So far I'm loving my little car! I upgrading my sound system with a Kenwood DDX 419 head unit, 2 12's, all new Kicker door speakers (added 2 on my deck lid), upgraded tweeters, a Audiopipe 1500W sub amp, 1000W door speaker amp. I love bass, I can't listen to a stock radio anymore, I love having a loud system! I tinted my windows with 15%, smoked out my tail lights, plasti-dipped my grille, window trim, emblems, and my rims. I also took out my resonator and put in a Borla Pro XS muffler in, I love the sound my 2.5L makes! I'm looking forward to doing more changes, I couldn't be happier with my Fusion right now! Deejay
Traded a 2004 Sebring..which I got much better mileage on..believe it or not!!
Jordon Anthony
I sold my 2001 Volvo V70 2.4T. I was going to need to replace/fix my Turbo (including all the tubing and boost controller), transmission, at least a top-end rebuild, and some other minor things. I will say so far the Hybrid is actually just as fun to drive and take corners faster than the Volvo. What I miss: The car itself, the power (when it was running correctly), the storage space, the wagon body style itself. What I don't miss: The gas mileage, only having 2 working speakers, the issues with the car. What I can't live without now: The gas mileage in a daily driver, the backup camera (in a sedan with a high trunk lid).
hdlogistics
Just traded in my 1999 Lincoln Town Car Cartier edition. With the price of gas on the rise (takes premium) it was time to let go. I'm sure I've made the right choice with the 2010 Fusion SEL 2.5L - 4 cyl. I look forward to many years of my new purchase.
David Persyn
Two cars - 2013 Focus Ti Sedan with moonroof and handling package, and 2013 Focus SE Hatchback, both between 15-20k miles on them. With retirement, we just didn't need two cars AND the 2013 F250, and we're saving 225 a month in payment and insurance, and have room for hobbies in the garage now! New car is a 2014 Fusion Ti AWD loaded (only thing available it doesn't have is the lane change electronics).
Burnout
I sold my 1998 Chevrolet Cavalier not long after I bought my Fusion. The Cavalier was a great first car, but at over 219,000 miles it was time for an upgrade. BT
laurieb
Sold my 1985 Corvette to get a modern vehicle. Had been considering Fusions and Tauruses, decided on a Fusion. What I miss: Sometimes I miss the low end torque, but I have a 1995 Corvette at home for when I want that. Otherwise, nothing, really. What I don't miss: Daily driver that only averages 18-19 mpg. Higher octane gas price No room for more than one passenger Frequent tweakings with a 30 year old engine What I can't live without now: Sync (or equivalent) Comfy ride Lots of room - was tired of having small cars. The Fusion really meets my current daily driver needs well. I like the looks of it and it is so comfortable and enjoyable to drive. I like having new technology, as well.
RybSE
Traded in a 2001 Taurus with 57,200 miles we had bought new for a 2014 Fusion SE with Ecoboost. Miss - - Not having car payments Don't miss - - The peeling paint. LOL - Rough engine idle - Driving an old car Enjoy - - The looks of the Fusion and the compliments - Listening to my iPod - Improved gas mileage - Having the new technology (though I have no real need or desire to be on the phone while I'm driving.)
rpaz61
Totalled out my 1997 Nissan Maxima SE when it was deemed not worth fixing. She lasted me 15 years and almost 250,000 miles.
PHILLYSTEVE614
I parted with my 2005 Ram 1500 SLT quad cab. Things I'll miss, 4wd and just being higher on the road than almost anyone. Things I don't miss, $100 for about 300 miles. Being in sales, the 2013 Fusion SE is fantastic.
toyz
I liked my red 2010 FWD Sport so much I traded it on a silver 2012 AWD Sport once the 2010 exceeded 60K miles. At 30K+ miles the 2012 has proven just as reliable and trouble free. However, it is not quite as quick and it gets 2-3mpg less mileage. I guess that is the price you pay to eliminate torque steer and front tire breakaway.
BlackBetty
Looks good! I gotta say it nice not to have torque steer anymore!
