Rear Camera Issues

My rear camera display takes too long to load up on the screen. I've backed out of my garage before the welcome screens- Sony advertisment, etc. go away. Make it immediate when I go into reverse.

My camera now points down lower than it did when the vehicle was new. Does trunk slamming adjust the angle? I now have 1/3 screen of the license plate. Can this be adjusted back/higher.

Give vehicles with rear camera brighter back-up lights. We want to see rearward on the display at night also. I can't find replacement bulbs that will do a reasonable job.

Hi Grey,

I can't help you with how long it takes (yes the splash screens are a bit annoying!). However, I think I can resolve both the other issues. When the rear view first shows up on your screen, you should briefly see a Settings button pop up in the lower left corner. If I remember correctly, you can adjust the angle of the camera there, as well as the brightness of the image. I've actually been pleasantly surprised at how bright mine was from the factory and how well and far I could see on the screen, so maybe it was just set brighter than yours. Hopefully tweaking these settings can make you happier, even though they don't resolve the speed issue when first starting the car.

Found the brightness setting, thanks. Nothinbg on the angle adjustment however.

Perhaps if I pull down the decklid liner, I can see if there is any adjustment there. Annoying to see 1/3 of the secreen as the top of the license plate.

Grey, A few days ago the same thing happened to my rear camera angle (2011 SEL 3.0). I am now seeing the top of my license plate. Please let us know how you solve this. PITA to bring back to the dealer right now for me. BTW, I have had my car since Feb and this is the first (and only) problem that has cropped up.
