DRL's on 2012 Fusion SEL

Recommended Posts

I just bought a 2012 Fusion SEL, traded a 08 Camry for it and I have noticed that the Fusion does not have DRL's and I want to fix that.

Is there a easy way that I can do this myself? I consider it a safety issue, I liked that my Camry had DRL's, we get a lot of rain, snow and overcast days here and I think the DRL's do a lot to make the car more visible.

If anyone knows how I can turn on the DRL's in a 2012 Fusion please let me know. Thanks.

Hi mnrick. :D First, welcome to the Ford Fusion Forums.

Next, concerning your question: This is an often asked question. The DRL's are enabled/disabled through the SJB (Smart Junction Box) on our vehicles. Unless you are willing to rewire your lighting system (and endure the possible Warranty repercussions), they can not be owner enabled/disabled on our vehicles. You will need to bring your Fusion to the Dealer to have this accomplished.

Good luck. :beerchug:

In rain and snow the lights will come on automatically when the wipers are on which is WAY better than DRLs because the tail lights also come on. You could also just turn on the lights on overcast days. DRLs don't help the people behind you.
