Fusion8ter 1 Posted February 1, 2012 20x8.5 and tires are 225/35/20 wheel dealer said only tire that would fit with out rubbing.. to have the 20s on. Quote Link to comment
Fusion8ter 1 Posted February 1, 2012 be sure to watch bolt paterrn of lugs when buying.. fusion is 114.3 notes:: the ride is a little rougher, the look is awesome, and these wheels actually over hang the tire a bit.. which means no curbing, or potholes, would bite the rim lip if I did,.. so extra carefull.. Did not change speedometer as same size as factory wheels I just gave up rubber for more wheel. factory and these are in actuality same height.. did not lower or raise car. Quote Link to comment
andrewdingemans 12 Posted February 1, 2012 I'll keep that in mind. I'm probably going to stick with 18s so i can go wider. Plus rolling the fender should allow a smaller offset. Does it rub when turning? Quote Link to comment
Fusion8ter 1 Posted February 1, 2012 no not at all. no rubbing.. accel, stop, pretty sharp turns, like I alsway do U turns in the street. lol. yes being a new car also, well i got it late 2011, so I got about 5 thou. on it.. I been cruzin.. wow wider then 8.5 Yeah I suppose possible if you change offset I think these were like 35/38.. but im thinking 38 offset. i would have to look to pinpoint. well got to hit the sack upearly.. Oh saved Big.. bought on-line and saved sales tax as it was out of state purchase) and also found free shipping.. had them in 3 days ups.. bought tires local.. Quote Link to comment
andrewdingemans 12 Posted February 1, 2012 If you can have a look to see what the offset is, I can do a rough calculation of what I can get away with without using spacers. I'd rather custom order an offset than to use spacers. I started a forum topic about the rims, going to rough fit some this afternoon if the guy at the shop allows me. Quote Link to comment
andrewdingemans 12 Posted February 3, 2012 I had a look at the front assembly last night and there is only enough space between the control arm and wheel well for an 8.5" rim. With the sport rim and tires (18x7.5 with 225/45 R18) there is 13mm from the tire to the wheel well and 19mm from the tire to the control arm. Quote Link to comment
